Guidance Counsellor

My name is Teagan and I’m the Guidance Counsellor at St Mary’s Laidley (Mondays, Thursdays and every second Wednesday).

I am a qualified Psychologist, who has worked in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and disability services settings with a range of children and adults, which places me in a great position to support the school community. As part of the Guidance Counsellor role, I work with students and parents one-on-one or in small groups to help guide students’ academic, behavioural and social growth. Sometimes I will work with students to investigate their learning and might use a range of tests (such as cognitive, memory, academic and behavioural) to determine how they best learn. I am also a student protection contact and a member of the student support teams within each school. This means I work in collaboration with the Principal, APRE, PLL and Support Teachers (ST:IE) to help meet the needs of our diverse student population.

Please feel free to contact me anytime at or you are welcome to call the school and make an appointment.
