Last August 14, we came together as a school community to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, with our Year 5 students leading us beautifully in prayer and worship. It was a heartwarming and reverent celebration, and Father Emmanuel’s message reminded us of Mary’s faith, courage, and willingness to say “yes” to God.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents, family members, and friends who joined us. Your presence always made the celebration even more special and reflected the strong sense of community we value at St Mary's.
The hymns enriched our prayer experience, with the Indigenous Lord’s Prayer, a Māori offertory song, and other uplifting hymns reflecting on Mother Mary’s journey of faith.
As we move into the second half of the term, may we continue to walk in Mary’s footsteps and remain open to the opportunities of saying ‘yes’ to whatever God places before us each day.
