Week 5 at St Mary’s exploded with curiosity and wonder as we celebrated National Science Week on August 14 with an electrifying Street Science Show – Into the Unknown.
Despite the looming threat of thunderstorms and even possible hail, nothing could dampen our school’s excitement! The show went ahead at the Performing Arts Room, and our students were captivated from start to finish. The atmosphere was buzzing as they watched
mind-blowing experiments unfold before our eyes—clouds of vapour, magnetic forces and surprising chemical reactions that had everyone gasping, laughing, and leaning in for a closer look.
From gravity-defying tricks to mind-bending demonstrations about the forces of nature, Ms Laura from
Street Science brought science to life in a way that was both educational and wildly entertaining. Students’ enthusiasm was contagious—proof that science really can spark joy, wonder, and a thirst for discovery.
It was definitely a spectacular show, and this was science engagement at its very best!
