HPE News

Last Friday our Senior Netball and Soccer Teams competed in matches against OLGC in an enjoyable afternoon of sports in front of big crowds. In the Soccer, our team was soundly beaten 7-1 by a well drilled Gatton side. St. Mary's started strongly and after losing an early goal, fought back to draw equal 1-1 with a superb Abby W goal. At half-time the score was 2-1, however we lost our way in the second half, with Gatton respecting the ball and making more of their possession which resulted in a flurry of second half goals. St. Mary's never gave up, and Connal & Kahlia W worked tirelessly, especially in the midfield, and Bailey D had many top-notch touches and several tricky passes. Bailey was awarded the St. Mary's Player of the Match Medallion.

In the Netball, Gatton also recorded a win, 16 goals to 8 in a keenly-fought contest. A big thanks to Mrs Adamski and Mrs Schultz who gave up their time to coach the team.
