PRAYING THE SIGN OF THE CROSS
For many non-Catholics, you may ask why we make the sign of the cross at the beginning of our prayers. As Catholics, we are invited and encouraged to make the Sign of the Cross at the beginning and end of prayers and liturgical celebrations as it can be a sign of moving to a special time to talk to or listen to God. God is named three times in this prayer. It is a mini creed that recognises and celebrates the Trinity.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen – Winston Churchill
